Walk Like a Man

"Walk Like a Man"
featured another subset of the Prancing Pony Players - our Eowyn, Merry and Pippin - and debuted at WonderCon 2005.  Our group had been invited to perform at the first Wondercon masquerade - one of several acts brought to the convention to help kick off the new program and give it a boost its first time through.  Wondercon, in fact, had TWO editions of P3, as "Walk Like a Man" was performed as well as our Littlest Orc soloing on "My Eye."  Both numbers were performed a few months later at the Middle Earth Festival as well.

"Walk Like a Man" - lyrics by Cordelia Willis
- a spoof on the song of the same name by
Frankie Valli

Pippin:
Though I was nervous,
I joined the Steward's service
And Denethor did eat and make me sing
Up on the pyre
Saved Faramir from fire
And now Gondor's ready for its king

Voice:   He had to...

Chorus:  Walk like a man
Talk like a man
Fight like a man in battle
Hobbits and girls can help to save the world
If they walk like a man or hobbit...

Merry:  O, how they try-ied
To cut me down to si-ize
Said I couldn't fight to help my friends
Sharing a saddle
We rode off into battle
And sent the Witchking to his end

Voice:    And she said...

Eowyn:  I am no man!
Fool you, I can!
I'm just a young girl in bloom!

All Three:  We saved the world...

Eowyn:  Two hobbits and a girl...

All Three:  While the Ring
Traveled to Mount Doom!
